Gold Coast visitors arriving from overseas are most likely to arrive at the Brisbane international airport terminal. Travellers arriving on domestic flights will disembark at either Brisbane or the Gold Coast airport at Coolangatta.

The domestic airline carriers are Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar. From Sydney, the flight time is 1 hour to the Gold Coast and from Melbourne the flight time is approximately 2 hours.

It's an easy drive from the Brisbane airport terminals on the Pacific Motorway to The Wave, and travel time is approximately 1 hour.

Travel time by road from the airport at Coolangatta to central Broadbeach is approximately 15-20 mins.

Several options are available for transfers** between the Brisbane and Gold Coast airports:

1) An Airtrain service links the Gold Coast with the Brisbane airport terminals. Travel time is approximately 1h 15m. There is an option for a limo service that provides train-to-door transfers. Taxi cabs can also be used for transfers from the Airtrain stations.
